Daddy time

Jeremy Maxwell Tex arrived 2-2-11 as planned, and was 8 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long.  I have lots of videos, photos, and his birthday story to share, and in the meantime I wanted to post a few pics and videos of the girls.

Daddy was home from work to take care of the girls for 2.5 weeks while I recovered and focused on baby Jeremy.  Sylvie, Stella, and John have all had a wonderful time, filling their days with every fun thing they could think of.  A few days before our little man arrived, John helped the girls build a "snow girl" named Sylvie, and both girls loved it.  Sylvia especially loved building it, and Stella loved checking on the snow girl each morning to make sure she was still there.  It was 70 degrees today, and snow girl has officially moved on, but Sylvie and John picked out some special buttons for that next snow storm (hopefully in 2012!!)

Checking on the snow girl:

John and the girls spent their days visiting the library, playing at Monkey Joe's, riding bikes and scooters at the park and hanging out at the Philadelphia Zoo with some of our neighbors.  The photos are from the Please Touch Museum, where Sylvie and Stella both got practice taking care of little babies.  Jeremy will be well taken care of.

In addiiton to all of the fun trips, I think the girls just liked doing all of the routine things with Daddy for a change.  John got Sylvie to school twice a week, and along with everything else, John took over bath duties.  He caught part of bath-time on video, where the girls were rehearsing their American Idol try-out performances:

Jeremy is doing very well, growing bigger and cuter each day.  He absolutely fits perfectly in our family and although it is exhausting taking care of a newborn, we would not trade a single second.

Lots of love,
 Keri
