Our cup is overflowing

I spent months trying sippy cups, straw cups, old cups, new cups, pink cups, blue cups, with NO luck.  But....guess who is using a cup now?  Thanks to my friend Laura for suggesting juice boxes to get him used to straws, he now tolerates (sometimes) straw cups.  Juice boxes - who knew?   Sometimes the answers to the problems are so simple, they make me feel brain dead and waaaay sleep-deprived.  Ever since I posted this picture below saying he sleeps 11 hours a night, he now gets up multiple times a night due to some nightmarish teething.  He has his second tooth and will prob have his third tooth any minute now, thank goodness.  I gave him medicine for the teeth last night, which I'm not a fan of, but poor thing is in pain with HUGE puffy gums.

Anyway, after a week or so of squeezing Capri Suns into his mouth, he figured it out himself (and realized he liked it enough to want to try it).  He doesn't love drinking out of other straws or even drinking milk out of the juice box straw.  But he usually drinks a little before he flings it across the room.  (His favorite game right now is throwing ......books, toys, food, cups - you name it!).   He also likes drinking out of regular cups with no straws.  That's a little messier, but with him flinging all of his food around, everything is a total mess anyway.

He has changed so much lately!  Besides the teeth and the drinking, he is now an expert speed-crawler, can pull himself up to stand anywhere, anytime, and has, unfortunately for me, figured out how to crawl up the steps.  Making dinner has just gotten 100 times more difficult, but at least he isn't running through the house...yet.

and I had to include this, because ever since I typed the title for this post it has been playing in my head....
